Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is the second longest running show in the history of Indian telivision. Started in 2008, it was just a small show on a small TV channel, SAB TV.  But now it is the most famous show in India. All because of its brilliant actors, especially the Gada Family. 

Asit Modi was just a normal director when he started this show 10 years ago, but now he's credited for making India laugh every night. The main family in the show is Gada Family. This family consists of Jethalal, Daya, Tapu, and Champak Chacha. Jet halal is just a businessman who owns a electronics shop. Day is an irritating character who believes in superstitions and thinks that her mother knows everything in the world, because, to quote her words, "The Mother is the Mother". She also has an annoying brother who steals a lot from Jethalal. but appears as the best brother to the world. BUPA never listens to his son, but also helps his grandson. He scolds everyone to get his things done and nobody ever questions his intentions. Tap is a mischievous boy who doesn't really know anything, but he's the leader of Tapu Sena, because the other kids in that colony perceive him as the coolest guy in the school. He almost failed to get admitted in the college of MK Gandhi. 


The next family is Mehta Family. Tara Mehta is the smartest guy in the show and always helps Jethalal in his trouble times. He's Jethalal's best friend and an advisor to the society. Even though he is always ready for his best friend, he never seems to find time for his wife. He hates her for her strict diet. 

Another family is the Bhide Family. Aatmaram Bhide is the Secretary of this society and an hounarble teacher. He teaches Tapu Sena. His daughter, Sonu Bhide, is smartest student in her school
and for some reason likes Tapu Gada. madhavi Bhide is a business woman who sells Pickels and papads.


The Hathi Family consistes of Hansard, Goli, and Kommal. They are quite healthy and are a Doctor's family. 

Babita is the most beautiful actress on the television and Jethalal adores her. She is sweet and friendly. her husband is quite the opposite of her. He dislikes Jethalal and loves to make fun of him with the help from Jethalal's wife, Daya.
